Bobbeh
Yep. The latter. Biggest, most profitable car manufacturer in the world. About time they made a new Supra, isn't it?? They've been the richest car producer for years now, GM make tonnes of vehicles but dont make any big profit from them due to tough competition and the structure of the company. It was always on the cards for me, I believed it would happen back in the early 90s as I thought how could a car company who make cars as reliably as them NOT succeed. Bobbeh
Yeah, that and the pension schemes too etc. But also the finance shemes they offer, they virtually give the cars away.

ivan
Not only that but GM made a bad deal years ago with one of the unions. It promised jobs for life for many workers. So instead of being able to lay them off when the work dried up they're having to pay them full wages to sit around at home all day...
