ADD
i dont wanna sound stupid when i ask this but when my soop changes up a gear after i have booted it through the revs (1.2bar) i get a load popping noise coming out the exhaust! could it be flamming? reason why i ask is cause, surely this type of thing is possible if the exhaust itself is hot enough and both cats are out?? cheers (if this isnt possible try not no MOCK me too badly)
Scoboblio
I've heard before that popping / flamage in between gear changes is possible for BPU cars
tbourner
Mine does in 1st, and at night up a sliproad I can see a flash reflect off the walls - so yes it's flameage.

ADD
excellant, the only problem wih this then is the fact that if i decide to boot in the dark and a copper is behind me i'l be pulled, then he'l want to check the car over and see no cats (although i've been pulled before and they have checked) and b@llocking time. tbourner
I did it in front of a micra probably driven by an old lady from Hayling - had to pull out into a small gap so floored it which followed with a big bang!! Wonder what she thought of that!!
Suprasteve
mines a manual so it always pops if i hit the rev limit (try not to do it too often) i've been told it flames if booted in 3rd up to highish revs then let off the accelerator whilst leaving in that gear. but i love it ! i'm such a little boy ! it didn't do it when had cats in. ADD
how big do you think the flame is, surely its not as big as the one Paul Wiffin has on his avatar??
tbourner
Following a scooby down a sliproad on overrun he had lots of little blueish flames in his exhaust, wouldn't show from the side just looking down the pipe you could see the odd flash. But like I said I see the flash reflect off the wall to the side of me when I do it on a sliproad - so it must come out the end of the zorst at least.
