Cusco coilovers

Recommended Posts

Received mine today, getting them fitted tomorrow.

Anybody else have these? If so, whats best to have them set at for handling purposes.

Also, this is my first time with coilovers. I see the adjustments under the spring where the C spanner latches to - is this a case of the more you tighten it the harsher the ride/lower the car will sit?

Could someone please help me out, I just want to make sure they are set up correctly before i go for the alignment check etc.

1 more thing, do you have to take the wheels off everytime you wish to adjust it?

Thanks

Gaz

The adjustment under the spring (spring platform) adjusts the ride height up and down. You should have an adjustment screw on the top of the shock to adjust the stiffness though. You dont have to take the wheels off, as long as the platforms are nice and free and not seized up.

Cheers

Well I spent a lot of today adjusting my coilovers and I can quite positively state that you do have to take the wheel off in order to raise or lift the car. I'd be interested in how anyone without ramps could get their hands around the wheel to do the adjustment and then find room for the spanners to move even with ramps.

I suppose its no biggy taking the wheel off anyhow, I was wondering though - could you clarify for me the directions in order to raise the car and lower the car and also which direction for the firmness?

What did you find best today for you setup?

Thanks

Come down and I'll show you! It can be done, I did myself this week. If you've got to a lot of adjustment it is probably easier to take them off though.
