a) suck it out and beat her with a syphon hose

b) burn it off quickly up and down the A1M

c) stick in a bottle of millers and then do (b)

d) fill the rest of the tank with optimax then do (b)

e) b c and d

f) continue to run on the cheaper standard unleaded for the rest of the cars days (which will probably be very few)

me still stock mr adam W! me no see 1.2 me see 0.8 max -

unfortunatley!

or perhaps fortunatley after this !

i'm leaning towards (b) and then OPTIMAX !

Compared to Super Unleaded and even Standard Unleaded the price of Optimax is bloody good ! (round in this area at least)

I'd go a combination.

Beat her with a hose, then just fill it up with Optimax - then burn the fuel as low as you can and Optimax it again.

A friend of mine has a TVR Griffith 500 HC - he was running desperately low on fuel and had to put Tesco standard unleaded in it. After it coughed and spluttered the entire way home, it wouldn't start the next day :)

Quality petrol.

They ran fine on the unleaded back in the 90's i'm sure they will run fine now, you bunch of girls!

Ron numbers indicate how well the fuel will burn in the chamber. In a highly tuned car it is important to to run it as the manufacturer intended to insure the burn is good. The Jap spec engine is designed to run on 101 Ron fuel. So you should try to get as close to that as you can.

95 Ron is not much good especially the crud they put in Tesco’s tanks. However if you pull the EFI fuses for a few minutes the car will learn to use it. Just stay off heavy throttle until you can put some better fuel in. Then reset the ECU again.

If you mix the 95 with Optimax so the tank is full and reset the ECU you should be OK.

UK cars can run 95 Ron with out problems, as Toyota had to tune the engine to the fuel sold over here. AFAIK.
