dangerous brain
My aristo is very clearly hitting fuel cut as when I plant it the engine just cuts back as you feel the boost come on I get an engine management light that then goes away as soon as the power comes back online ie I change gear. My question is will it do damage to the engine having hit fuel a few times or not? Is it imperitive I get a defencer sorted before allowing the car to boost? chilli
when mine was like this I drove it and just kept it below the point of fuel cut, since fuel cut isn't very nice when it happens! Don't see how this can cause any harm, the FCD just raises the fuel cut limit up a bit. Got the Thor FCD fitted asap though, not great having a car that does this! dangerous brain
Well I don't think I even get stock power out of it as the boost floods in and you can't stop it How much was the thor FCD?

dangerous brain
I think so. Its the loudest TT 2JZ-GTE I've ever heard. Its still got its cats in so bugger knows how loud it would be with them out I'll take a run up to Basingstoke soon so you can get a look at it proper Leet. The rest of you can wait until its magazine featured
SimonB
You wanna get a boost gauge in there Bry, find out what it's doing.
dangerous brain
I've got a defi link system. Unfortunately I have to put it in the dash really as I don't want A pillar pods or stuck on bits. Something I am finding with a manual car it takes a lot more concentration to drive so altering your view to a gauge halfway down the dash is going to be quite hard. That said the Defi system allows you to view your peak boost.
