SuperSupra
Going back to the beginnings of this thread, those Ferrari replicas are truly shocking... and 25 grand?!! how about funk off!!! I think people just pluck a figure out of thin air, you know how insurance companies when they don't wana insure you? I mean, come on, £25k worth? I've seen very well done MR2 - Ferrari 355 conversions, that look real sweet with done out interior too, going for 12-15k, so for an average (being kind) one at £25k, well that's just silly

Proper seats too by the looks of things.

silvasurfa
See, it does look alright that one but if this were an mr2 site they'd all be going mental!!!
SuperSupra
See, it does look alright that one but if this were an mr2 site they'd all be going mental!!! Yeah no doubt, my younger brother drives an MR2 turbo, he loves it, very quick but bit too small for my liking. Still his argument is that it can have a Supe N/A for breakfast. My argument - I drive a Supra.

michael
Real Ferraris don't have these though: http://www.megaboost.co.uk/old/pics/mr2/mk2/ferrari/DCP_2281.JPG If I was in the market for a fake I'd rather have this MR2 conversion for £8k... plus it has the potential to be quicker than the original. http://www.andylaurence.co.uk/mr2/FrontOffside.jpg http://www.andylaurence.co.uk/mr2/Front.jpg http://www.andylaurence.co.uk/mr2/Rear.jpg And on a similar theme how about turning a a 406 into a 360-a-like with a stolen engine? http://www.extreme-sportscars.com/360/home_360.htm (They do a fairly nice 355 kit for the MR2 too but I don't really approve)
silvasurfa
That 406 one looks amazing! It 'looks' amazing, God knows how it feels to drive?!! Probably like a beer runners 406!!!
JohnA
Pffff... Lambos are where it's at. Some MDF and TLC and bobsyermanfromuncle http://www.max-boost.co.uk/stuff/lambo_wooden.jpg You have to treat it for woodworm though

geoffvalenti
See, it does look alright that one but if this were an mr2 site they'd all be going mental!!! Yeah, probably because some idiot has fcuked up a perfectly good MR2 and turned it into a piece of shit. I saw a few of these "conversions" at a kit car show last year. You've got to feel sorry for the owners, they honestly think that their cars are the dogs bollocks, when in fact they're just bollocks
SupraStar 3000
On the other hand, some conversions work really well! Check out this one which greatly improves dull old MX5. I really like that! Wonder if Emma (Supralookin) has seen it
