Guest mart1n
I have had an absolute nightmare today trying to get a quote to insure myself on a Jap import motor. I have tried adrian flux for both a TT Supra, and an RX7... and I have found they quoted me £2400 for both... I am 22 (23 in June) and I have 4 years NCB, no convictions. I have tried tesco and they say I have to be 25.... Anyone got any recommendations? Cheers

how_supra
I don't think £2,400 is bad considering. I know people older who had quotes double that.
GazzaGSi
Try using the search button for help with insurance as it is quite a common problem and may also be some good websites listed there too. This one is 5 or 6 threads down http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=55379 try them Gaz
Guest mart1n
A plan? At 22 what do you expect !!!!! A little less would be good. I got a quote from one company off of confused.com which was for £1400... but I think that was on a UK spec TT... which I thought was quite good. Pete
UK will ALWAYS be considerably cheaper.
GazzaGSi
A UK spec TT for me cheaper to insure than a JAP n/a. Its just how it is.

I got much cheaper than that when i first took mine out at 24 (5 years NCB), came in under £1k.

I presume they didnt do that many manuals?
Bobbeh
Sadly not. Even so, they do occasionally pop up, depends if you're prepared to wait for a good one.

Depends on how quickly my 200 sells... got a few people interested. Its either that... or I swallow it and basically buy an import and take the hit.... Unless someone says the auto is good to drive .
