Conrad
Took my car out for my first spirited run since installing my boost gauge to check boost levels today! Thankfully I was getting a consistent 0.8bar on a good run which is good for a stock TT. Thing is, when I got to 120mph ( ) all power shut down. I'm assuming this was the limeter? I tried again and sure enough it did the same. Now I thought it was a 112mph limit? Was my odo reading high cus of my 18's? Also, how do I get it delimited and how much does it cost? merckx
Do you mean the engine cut out ,a speed limiter shouldn't do this.

Also some on ebay but dont know if they are trustworthy or not. Gaz
GazzaGSi
A speed limiter shouldn't do this. When i get to mine all power goes until around 105 then will pick up again. Its just like you take you foot off the throttle for afew seconds.
Conrad
When i get to mine all power goes until around 105 then will pick up again. Yeah, mine does this. Kills the power for a few seconds! I'll have a look on those websites, cheers Gazza
merckx
Thing is, when I got to 120mph ( ) all power shut down. So you didn't lose all power then?
Conrad
Things is, the company who imported my car did a proper job with the Odometer and fog light etc. My clock and speedo has been changed into miles and fog light mounted correctly into the rear bumper. I thought they would have delimited it too!
Conrad
So you didn't lose all power then? No, just dropped down to about 105mph as said by Gazza above. Is my car reading higher speeds due to my wheels do you think?
GazzaGSi
Possibly but I have read before that getting the speedo accurate from converting it from km/h can be tough and all are out within afew mp/h. Gaz

carl0s
112mph would most definately read as at least 120 on the clock.
