SupraStar 3000
I've noticed the paint blistering about the size of a 50p just above windscreen sealent on the drivers side. Its hasn't lifted yet, just started to blister. Anyone know a rough idea of what it might cost to fix and spray considering the window may need removing. I have no idea
Pete
Exactly where my NA went I was advised I'd need to spray the whole roof for a proper match.
SupraStar 3000
doesn't sound good Did you have it done mate?
Pete
No. My best advice is get it treated now though. From enquiries I made expect about 200 quid or so of bodywork plus the windscreen in/out.
supRo
Repairing roof area paint is tricky. Get a free quote from one of the mobile chip repairers - they may be able to repair it. Otherwise it'll have to be the whole roof and rear quarter re spray - not cheap. Upto £700 from a good bodyshop

carl0s
no mate, the windscreen is original and have had no problems I wonder what makes them blister there then.. I saw the blister on Petes car and it was quite noticable.
SupraStar 3000
duno mate, I thought maybe a paint and moisture reaction from a stone chip.
SupraStar 3000
well,. Central Cars say probably around the £200/300 mark although he didn't say if that was a window out jobbie. I need to take the car in next weekend to see if he can give me an accurate quote. He did say from the brief description I had given him he thought it maynot be rust and more likely a moisture problem.

suprasport
you definately do not need windscreen out unless rust has gone right down beneath the rubbers, 3m do a tape that pulls back the rubber so it can be sprayed under it, works really good
SupraStar 3000
So I was about right then Strange thing to say as moisture problems = rust. think he's on about moisture and paint reaction rather than body work/rust. Paint is a complete mystery to me.
