China Man
Hi, My friend has a MR2 turbo and he got a set of oz alloys second hand. I had a look at it and I see he used his old tyres on the new alloys. The alloy itself is smaller than the tyres, I can see the tyre wall with a huge curve and I joked to him that his alloys will never get kerbed with the tyres running that wide. He needed space to fit those alloys and I find from this board that spacer is not a good idea as the wheels size different ruined the handling? Anyway, his Teins super street suspension broke and he is going to get all 4 replace and he is saying that he needs that for his track days. I am thinking why put an expensive set up to be used with 4 too narrow wheels? Please someone tells me if I am right to think that he should get the correct width wheels? shaf
ideally you want a 215 width on the front and 235 or 255 on the rear. profile wise 35 for 18's, 40 for 17's, 45 for 16's etc etc. if that makes any sense
