heckler
Guys/Gals I have a J spec TT, and an annoying snag, when I floor it, the car seems to hessitate, but if i back off slightly (but still acceleration) the hessitation dissapears - could this be due to the j spec fuel pump? or some other thing i havent thought about, btw the engine is standard except for induction kit and BOV. Help would be very much appreciated Si: baa:
Wipeout
Hello heckler, I have had a similar problem recently with hessitation when flooring it, have you considered a miss fire due to bad plugs, I am currently looking at changing my plugs to a slightly colder grade to see if it clears up. I have a UK spec TT on stock setup. Hope this is of some help.
mawby
Sorry for thread stealing, but I'm also in Fareham Wipeout. If you spot an L-reg black J-spec TT around the area then it's probably mine.

pistonbroke
Start with the cheapest possible fault first, get the plugs changed and see what happens. If you've recently changed the plugs, or replacing them doesn't cure it, check for fault codes.
jevansio
Even cheaper than replacing plugs is following Ian C's coil pack connection refurb thread
pistonbroke
I'm not sure a coil pack connection would cause a missfire at just WOT.
jevansio
I'm not sure a coil pack connection would cause a missfire at just WOT. Defo, happens to me, about once every 6 months I develop a missfire, I have to go over each connector and remove the pin & press the female side so it makes a good connection and the high rpm high boost missfire goes away (without changing plugs)
tony tt
Same thing happened to me and it turned out to be a duff coil si under hard accelaration it held back but if you just feathered the power in gently it wouldnt do it. My moneys on a fecked coil bud.
