TLicense
Everyone has the right to strike. (Well nearly everyone. I don't think police do, do they?) I think things were handled well on both sides. The people that were striking obviously think they have cause to, and the company obviously did the best they could in their workers absence. The result of which seems to meant limited disruption.
Todd
Everyone has the right to strike. (Well nearly everyone. I don't think police do, do they?) military, police and prison officers not allowed to. Amazing what you can learn on the childrens bbc web site http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/teachers/citizenship_11_14/subject_areas/legal_rights/newsid_3231000/3231079.stm
Pete
I don't agree with striking at all. It's simply another form of blackmail.
whitesupratt
Yes...its just greed, they dont think they actualy deserve more money, or less hours, they just know that by striking, the likelyhood is, they'll get 'em!

Bobbeh
I am happy that many of the people defied the strike, probably didnt help to see the Union boss partying it up in Egypt while trying to ruin NYE for millions. There were some closures but we managed to get everywhere we wanted with no problems thank goodness.
TLicense
Now here's a good point. If the disruption was minimal, then the work that the people who striked, do must be of no consequence. They should all be made redundant!
chilli
lol, don't tube train drivers get paid a fair £ already, I mean "press the go button" and "press the stop button", how hard can it be, there isn't even a steering wheel!
JohnA
.. there isn't even a steering wheel! ...yet it handles like it's on rails! (how do they do that?)

It wasn't the drivers, it was the station staff. That's why it didn't make all that much difference.
