Geezabloke
I think my minds made up......or is it? I cant decide......... I keep looking at the car and it looks good in Red on its own, however when you get some other non standard colours next to it, its left somewhat lacking.... Same with Silvers, Blacks ect....... Only my opinion, dont want you all shouting at me..... Mellow Yellow.......The Fastest Custard Tart Available...:flame Dev
Geezabloke
But just looked at the Rage paints... Magenta into Gold looks stunning......Perhaps that then:flame Dev Decisions decisions.............
Supragal
I'm with ya all the way on that one bud I was gonna go black but decided that if there was one other car in the same colour that was too many so went custom, my bank managers not very happy but I am so thats all that matters lol
400BHP
I like originality but i'd love to have my car the same colour as one of my mates, just a silly thing i think would be cool.

Supragal
Depends on the paint and if you're having other stuff done at the same time. A respray in the same colour (i.e. standard paint or slight variation on it so no need to do door shuts/engine bay etc) will set you back on average £1500, whereas you can go for silly pain like Rage extreme illusion extra high solid colours at £458 + vat a litre and want the entire thing spraying so about 5-7 odd litres plus special base coats and lacquers etc....so basically you can spend what you want!! Jake
I really like this colour http://www.rage-extreme.com/gallery/shockwaves/images/shock_waves_thunder_storm_20030624.jpg out of my price range though

Geezabloke
Another one, with the V skirts im thinking of.. Have ordered Blitz front......Now what can we do for the rear spoiler?
Supragal
thats nice... I'm at the exact same stage as you- rear spoiler...having a custom one made but have lost all creative flair..trying to utilise the standard one in some way as I'm not a huge fan of the ally/CF ones.... Supragal, I just checked, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be actually, £133.33 per Litre. Dude, are you following this thread mate? What do you think? Can you get this paint OK? Would this be OK for you to do? I think a Veilside Supe would look bloody good in this colour, it's called Rage Extremem Shock Wave Thunderstorm (Deep Black / Titanium Silver) How many Litres would we need Dude? And no-one told me that- it says so on the rage website... Unless you can get it trade/cost. 3 Litres? It took like 6 to do a golf! I guess it depends on if you're changing from dark to light? Dunno I'm not a sprayer. Thats nice that it included base coat- from having spoken to people who have used rage paints they seemed to spring extra charges on them at any possible oppourtunity. (You don't work for them do you? lol)

(You don't work for them do you? lol) Chromaflair used to be £1000 a litre , if you know the guy who got charged for 6 litres on a golf youd best tell him he got ripped off , the base is very cheap and covers up quicker than a de-bagged Paul E in a convent , the more flip (expensive) you put on the less the effect , you really dont want more than 3 coats , 6 litres will thin to about 10 litres , a normal gun holds 1 litre (not gravity fed) and you can just about get round a sup with a litre in an HVLP gun , i'll leave you to work it out , sometimes less is more , 3 litres would mix to around about 5 , 3 to get round the car , 1 to do the shuts etc and 1 left for any problems .
