Justin
If you look at my pic you can see the remains of two sticky pads I have scratched off that were behind my number plate. I am fitting a smaller number plate now so these will show up. Question is how the heck do I get this cr*p off? Will lighter fliud knacker the paintwork? Any advice please pepes. Ta J. Jason
I know this sounds starnge coming from a man, but try perfume on it. That will work without leaving any residue or lasting traces.

michael
Most DIY shops and Bettaware / Kleeneze type catalogues sell a product called "Sticky Stuff Remover" - it's a weird blend of citrus oils and other stuff, you just soak the area in it (squirt it on) and then leave it a while. After 10 minutes or so the sticky crap should just wipe off with a cloth. Works a treat and almost smells as nice as the perfume others have suggested I'd be tempted with the hairdryer if you can't be bothered to go out buying smelly stuff. Jake
Originally posted by eyefi lighter fluid will probably cause a haze. no mate, lighter fluid works just fine. It's only a thin petroleum based oil after all. I've used it before with zero problems.
