PDA's and SAT Nav. Info required.

Wipeout

Recommended Posts

I have been looking into getting a PDA, and also using it for SAT Nav.

Ideally something with WIFI, Bluetooth & running windows mobile of some sort.

I have been looking at a Dell Axim x51v 624MHz Here Was about £260.

Has anyone had experience with Dell PDA's?

Also what is Windows Mobile like with Sat Nav programs, is it reliable?

That's enough questions for now.

Cheers

Been running my IMate Jam with TT3 & TT5 for over a year now with no problems at all. Never used my old smartphone with sat nav as just found the window to be to small but guess thats user preference.

I'd be tempted to wait for the new batch of phones coming out that will have GPS built in to them, pretty sure there is a couple out already.

If you can wait until I get my new sat-nav installed in my car on Jan 6th I will have the following up for sale:

O2 XDA II (with all the supporting gear as well as two base chargers, two battery packs and a few different protective cases) this is a fully functioning phone/pda with some nice specs

512mb Sd card

Tom Tom 5 (fully licenced and legit copy with all of the install Cd's/codes/ect. It is already installed/updated/activated and working fine on the PDA

Tom Tom Bluetooth GPS receiver

BTH Bluetooth headset

Car windscreen mount

and some other bits that I am sure I am forgetting...

It is basically a fully working Sat/nav on an unlocked (ready for any Sim) and excellent condition PDA/Phone

I'm getting the 02 XDA mini in a couple of days - gonna be sticking TomTom 5 on that. The screen's smaller than your standard PDA, but should be big enough for a reasonable picture - Oh and hopefully it'll work well as a phone.

Same as the imate jam and the screen is fantastic and just right for TT5.
