MrAngry
Some arsehole had a go at getting into my car last night. The twat has smashed the drivers side quarterlight. They must have been hoping that the door lock was easily reachable, unfortunately there isn't any blood around. At least thats all they did so it just goes through as a windscreen claim. But the bastard has cost me £75 with the excess If only I had caught them doing it they would have met with the real MrAngry then!!!!! Nope the alarm didnt go off. Maybe the motion sensors need moving around a bit. I might get Matt H. to have a look at it for me and make sure it is working properly

JohnA
I remember someone here saying that it's a PITA to change the quarter glass (hence they tend to mask them when respraying) Is that true, or just an urban myth?

Not a pain to change, just a right royal pain in the arse to get out without breaking them.

MrAngry
So even thought it's not the windscreen, they replace it as part of the windscreen? Cool. Who is the insurer? Im insured with Tesco's the guy in the claim department told me as there was nothing taken and no other damage just to go through autoglass direct so it wont effect my NCB. I take it the Police have been their usual helpful selves? I ended up ringing them back as I didnt want to touch the car. The second person told me that It would probably be a couple of days before I heard anything and I should have been told to secure it in the first place. Just come back in to find a message on my phone with a crime reference number Now I can sleep safely tonight:rolleyes:

MrAngry
Not good, glad the car wasnt nicked though. Even if they had managed to get past the immobiliser I doubt they would have got very far with the amount of snow on the road last night
