Shovels
I need to change the rear tyres on my soop, and have been offered Toyo Proxes T1R's, Goodyear Eagle F1'sor Continentals. Which would you go for? The price is £165 each Fitted for the Toyo's or £173 for the other two. The size is 275/35/
Branners
I have contis on my supra and I would NOT recommend them, not exceptional in the dry or the wet. Most people recommend the F1s and thats what I will change to later this year. JB
supRo
I've had Goodyear F1 GSD3 and now on Toyo T1R's. Seem to be same performance wise but goodyear is slightly cheaper and harder wearing compound so I would go for Eagl1 F1 GSD3's.
LeeT
i find toyos to have absolutely no grip in the cold/wet. i run on michelin pilot sports now and are superb. go with the f1's at that price range
Terminator
I agree with Leett, I had some Toyos on the rear and in anything other than warm dry conditions they were unpredictable to say the least. I moved to F1's and the increased grip available in all conditions was very noticible. The only thing I miss is being able to spin the rears in every gear. I just paid £144 each for mine in that size, and that was from the local tyre place, not the absolute cheapest (usually Micheldever).

SimonB
Micheldever don't deliver. Worth ringing around though, the place I got mine is just a local tyre place here in Christchurch, and they were only 6 quid more than Micheldever.
Shovels
Anyone know of any other cheap places. If I have a couple I can then get them from there or use them as bargaining power

SimonR
I was running Conti's until a recent repalcement with F1's. I have found the F1's to be better - particularly in the wet.

toyotasuprauk
I'm looking for some new rear tyres but I cant get the Goodyear in my size, so far my research suggests the toyo T1-r's are good and have recently been improved. Also make sure your local tyre places will fit as i asked a few local to me and they wont fit unless they supply! Blackcircles have been the cheapest I've found for the toyos and they have lots of places that fit around the country.
