Well mine was picking up noise above 4000rpm which wasn't knock, apparently the std knock sensors pick up transmission noises higher up the rev range, you can tune the knock sensors to be less sensitive which can help a bit. Best way is to get yourself a proper knock monitoring device though.

Hey Paul,

 

Done some more investigation on this and the JDM is wired the same for the malfunction light. It would appear that it is not this output (LS10) that is turning the light on.

 

If I deactivate Coil4 (fuel pump) it goes out along with the other symbol that is on, if I enable it again it comes back on. Could this be something to do with the fuel pump ECU and the fact that I am now running 12v constant and not 6 / 12v?
