Guest Steve Burnett
When going to view a Supra are there any things I should keep my eyes peeled for? I test drove an auto the other day but would like a manual if I decide to go for a supra. Any viewing advice welcomed. Thanks
Bobbeh
Hi Steve, I would initially recommend checking out the FAQ section for all sorts of useful information and details about debates on spec/drivetrain etc. Sadly though I cant find a thread describing useful things to look out for when buying for the first time Remember, with the Supra there is usually lots of choice so if it doesnt feel right, just walk away. Jurgen-Jm-Imports
here is few. 1.check for any evidence of accident 2.gearstick should feel tight not loose when engaging 3.wheel bearings rear 4.steertring rack 5.turbos standard 0.8 boost even 0.7 is good 6.warped disks (common) 7.boot rubbers (cheap to replace but hard work to do) 8.heaters make sure they work if not a matrix swap is full dash out job. 9.should have no warning lights on when driving 10.for above turn ignition on to see that they are working and the bulbs have not been took out 11.buy with your head not your heart apart from that supras are pretty reliable

Getrag
As above, there is a good buying guide if you search, i will try and find it. If your ever looking at Supra's down this end of the country give me a shout and I'll pop along to help. Welcome aboard.

I have used marc at "the garage" before and he was good but that was my RX7 and not a supra.
supRo
As all advice above but also: If a car has a dirty interior/engine bay/outside, it's a good indication it hasn't been looked after especially if they haven't even bothered to clean the car before selling it!
