mikeyb10supra
Hi All going to get busy under the bonnet over the xmas period......cleaning up all the shite thats accumalated under there....now I have heard many ways to do this, steam clean, pressure wash, gunk etc I think im going to go for the manual method.....cloth elbow greece and shredded knuckles method, what would be the the best product to remove the black baked on shit around my suspension turrets....I tried brasso but required to much scrubbing.....need something stronger. Also whats the best way to get to all those hard to reach places and can I rinse off with water after, providing I tape up all electrical and engine openings?? DaveMassie
Pop to halfords and pick up a pack of CD2 engine cleaner and detailer, I think its only about £8 for the two cans, not done the supra's yet but it made my GT4's engine bay look like new with no fuss at all. Definately worth a try.

markrzs
Did mine recently Mikey, i used Autoglym engine degreaser in a spray bottle available from halfrauds etc..... Came up perfectly, you should just use a soft new paint brush and rinse immediatly with warm water from a jug but don't let the degreaser dry. ( Don't worry it won't harm your engine bay ). Good luck !

Hoping to get my car back on the road tommorrow with hybrids so funnily enough im a bit skint. No offence but are you gunna tell me roughly what they go for or should i just approach the traders myself? Oh, thanks richard. The one from the manifold, the one to the air intake and the one to the radiator!

supRo
Elbow grease will be best. Some people experience oil leaks from gaskets if they steam/presuure wash their engines.
