Nic
sweet any idea how much they are or how long it takes labour wise? Thinking of am xmas prezzy for the old girl Contact member Chris Wilson, he supplies individual pipes to replace the first and second cats, the advantage of 2 separate pipes is that come MOT time the 2nd cat can be replaced easily. Pig
whats the performance gain like de-catting an NA? Also does it affect fuel consumption much?
Rob
There is a slight gain in performance, most noticable when you put the second cat back in for the MOT. Fuel consumption is, of course, an irrelevance.

Pete
Fuel consumption is, of course, an irrelevance. Fuel economy is better on an NA after decatting.
magicmatty
Oops ment one CAT My '95 NA passed fine with no cats on! Bearing in mind all NA's are imports, the number plate and chassis/eng numbers will probably not show up on the new MOT system, so they HAVE to run the test ion the default setting - meaning higher pass levels and 99.9% chance of both cats off passing OK! Hope yours goes fine, cats off is a simple job, undo bolts, replace gaskets, rebolt. Simple
