think some had bilsteins (yellow) and some had KYBs (black). im looking at going UK road friendly by sticking some KYBs on! my teins are sweet but i need the cash so will sell em on methinks. the darn thudding in my car is down to worn/missing boot rubbers methinks!

Sorry mine wasn't a question or anything...

KYB AFAIK did not supply Toyota.

Same here, never heard of KYB dampers being standard kit on the Supra.

Simon, the Bisteins are not height adjustable, although lowering springs can be fitted if you want to lower the ride height slightly.

my j-spec TT is fitted with new silver coloured KYB rears (self-adjustable) as supplied by Fensport. not too bad but the back end feels 'wavy'- maybe they still to be bedded in or there's some other problem which still needs investigation.:help:

i read a review on the KYBs (gas n adjustable). they look v affordable so i looked into em. the reviews suggest that if the user lowers them too much they go pop right away but keeping them at recommended levels and they last a good while and perform nicely. think they are on the review centre . com or sommit.

ok i've bought KYBs x2 (black) and Bilsteins x2 (yellow) from a soop getting broke...trouble is, I've forgotten which came off the front and which ones were off the back. anyone know what to look for?

ta,

D

will that not give very strange handling having the two quite different shock absorbers on front and rear?
