Fifty
Hiya Well does this read kilometers if it says Km on it or can the numbers be miles with the legend as km? Silly but I need to know Ive read all the old posts on this but noone actually said that. My car has a MPH speedo to 180 mph, odo states km and I dont care about that but I reckon odo is recording miles! so I got miles to add to when it was SVA yes? Guest suprageoff
Yes, you now count the odo in miles. So to know the total mileage on the odo - it's original kilo + miles since SVA. Geoff.
Fifty
Thx Geoff thats what I thought But does the legend stay as kph? Fifty
Thorin
Yes, it could still say Km but now be reading in Miles. Edit : It's possible to change this to say Miles by a bit a rewiring or something but I don't know how. It's been changed on mine.

Fifty
Steve Thats right me neither! Anyone its more fun watching the BMW drivers faces than the oddo as you blow them up lol Fifty
eyefi
it all depends on how the conversion was done. mine has a uk spec speedo (mph) but the odo still reads in km's. if a converter was put in to feed the odo with a 5/8ths signal then the odo will read in miles but still display km's and the speedo will read in mph, cos the odo distributes the speed signal to all other instruments. if the converter is just put on the speedo the odo will still record km's. mrboost
You can convert it to miles and if you look in the auto trader you will also find oddmeter corrdtions etc. You send them you odd meter and they will change it to the CORRECT miles not KHM. But I reckon this is open to CLOCKERS aswell Boost..
Piran
I got a TRL converter for mine but haven't fitted the odo conversion wire - so I still read in Km - as this can affect other things. The signal from the odo also (if I remeber correctly) drives the active spoiler and the adjustable power steering so things can get a little screwy if you just change the odo signal and not do anything about the rest ! I'll do the full conversion when I can find someone "reputable" to do the correction
THOR Racing
For a start the TRL DSC has an extra output on it which is a buffered copy of the original speed signal. This is so you can convert the odometer to Miles and cut it's output drive wire and replace with the one from the DSC. Also check out my personal site for details of the odo conversion methods....
