Sean1933
If anyone is interested I can obtain SUPAGARD kits for £40 inc postage. (Not the out of date stuff on ebay) Thought I would offer these to forum members before selling elsewhere. We all want our Supra's to be clean and this stuff makes life alot easier. No more polishing and also protects your paintwork. This is for the equipment to do the inside, outside and the alloys. It is excellent stuff and well recommended. See their website for all the technical information. http://www.supagard.co.uk Do it yourself and be sure all the car is properly protected. You will also save loads compared to £250-£350 quoted by dealers which is simply a rip off. The only difference being that you dont get a piece of paper guaranteeing it. Who needs this, you know its on there. The kits contents are:- 1 x 100plus professional paint sealant pad 1 x Professional Carpet/Fabric Protector 1 x Supawheels Ally Wheel Protector 1 x Coat protectors (dashboard etc) If anyone is interested in purchasing one of these kits, please pm me. There are limited numbers of these kits so be quick!
SimonR
Presumably, if this stuff seals the paintwork I would want to make sure that the paint is super-clean before applying it? I expect that this would involve a bit more than a bucket and sponge. Any info on how difficult this would be and what potions, lotions etc would be needed? Sean1933
Tips on applying My advice to you in applying cream would be to ensure none of it gets on the plastic window surrounds etc. It you do wash off immediately otherwise it may be difficult to remove. apply only to the painted body panels, not glass or surrounds. You can go over the front and rear lights. Sprays for the interior are simple. Recommend you do the mats as well as carpet. Spray dashboard one onto cloth and apply rather than sraying directly on. Dont pierce too many holes in the pads otherwise you will get in a mess. I tend to pierce 4 times with even gaps and dont press hard. Try to cover the whole car evenly. First and most importantly, ensure the car is spotless. I would recommend a thorough clean and then polish car with a high quality polish to ensure the best finish is ideal. Once you have the car to the desired spotlessness apply the cream, leave for an hour and then polish off. Dont apply in direct sunlight. If you do polish off after about 30mins. Try not to drive the car for at least 2 hours after applying. Hope this helps, instructions are on the rear of the pads.

Sean1933
True, but hey if its not raining then should not be a big issue! It works really well in the winter becaue the cars always get so dirty really quicky, normally just after you have polished it! With this on the car if it get dirty just Jet Wash the car and the dirt comes straight off, as long as you dont leave it on there for weeks to build up so much that you dont know what color the car is! Dragonball
Is this an equivalent to a silicon sealant like Mer? Does it leave a permanent whit(ish) hue to dark colours as it seals?
Sean1933
nope, no mark atall. Its just like a protective film so keeps the paintwork looking brand new and make it so so much easier to clean!

jackso11
I don't mean to be a kill joy Sean, but I have to point out to other memebers. I just bought this kit off ebay for £
Sean1933
Fair comment. BUT kits you get off ebay are normally out of date and only half full. I get my kits directly from a supplier. By all means if ur happy with buying from ebay and taking a chance on what you are getting then thats okay with me. Personally i would not buy something to put on my pride and joy from a source i dont know as there is a lot of fake Supagard being sold. Some have names such as 'Supergard', 'Supaguard', and 'Superguard'. Anyway, i will leave you all to do as you wish! Cheers

jackso11
I agree some things on ebay are not as they seem. I only ever buy from people with high ratings and good feedback. I haven't bought anything that has been not as discribed for over 4 years now.....and I shop on ebay for just about everything!
