Pig
We havent had a discussion about these yet so i thought i would start one up. Not sure about prices but prob very pricey and as they are for drift cars may not be the best idea. however if they are ok, it maybe something that would have to be done once. (before i get abuse, im not into the burnout scene, i have only ever done 1 and no one was in sight, it was purely for my benefit) Jap performance said these are in stock in 255/40/17 is that stock size? my soop is at pheonix so cant check! Pixelfill
what's the performance like, it may be something that you could use as a track day tire. but as a daily driver.... Not for me sunshine. There has to be trade offs, and additional costs for these, and unless you are going to be using them for their designed purpose I can't see the point imho. TrickTT
These where on top gear a few weeks ago. They said about £200, but didnt specify size. They did a demo on some sort of TVR and they looked good.
tbourner
They said the handling was compromised quite a bit though! I'm assuming they're quite slippy to aid the drift, so no good for general use. I hope we see some professional 'red arrows' style drift teams coming out soon, they could get some good shows going with different colour tyres. DamanC
255/40/17 is stock yeah saw them a while ago, looked quite good tbh. Im sure they will take off for the drifters, and im sure a red arrow typr thing will crop up. would like to see exactly how pricey they are too.... Guru
Yeah the TVR had red ones on and even though they looked well mint, they did say handling was majorly stunted!
