Geezabloke
When does this neeed changing on a UK spec or how do you inspect to confirmif it needs changing? Have carried our basic service to car ie. OIl, Filter, Plugs and changed over to DOT 5.1 but not sure on schedule times or locations of fuel filters? Did a search but info not very concise? Matt Harwood
Just change it anyway. At least that way you'll know it's been done. It's not expensive... Or are you tight

Terminator
The book says, every 27000 miles. So I would knock that down to 20000, about the same interval as a set of iridum plugs.

Matt Harwood
It's by the passenger side floor/chassis leg under the car. There are two bolts holding the fuel lines on. Remember the fuel system will still be under pressure... Prepare for spillage!

Soonto_HAS_soop
If you are saying on the right, as you look from the front of the car, then that is the fuel filter. If you look on Mkiv.com they have a link with pictures of it. It is under the fuel pulsation removal link. Ben..
Gazzawu
how the heck do u disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter? i take it u dont turn the bolt next to the filter itself but the outer one instead. bolt just wont budge. tried spraying wd40 and rattling the bolts a few times with no luck
