terribleturner
Great job on this years calander, but after looking at the German calander i was wondering what people would enter if the rules said you could photoshop your pictures. Anybody got any they would enter??
dangerous brain
Which german calender? Also thats not a bad idea. The print run and demand is big enough now I reckon to have more than one option.
CJ
Which german calender? Also thats not a bad idea. The print run and demand is big enough now I reckon to have more than one option. I would have to disagree there. The print run and demand for a job that is SRA3 is very small indeed and most lithographic printers would not look twice at it. At the end of the day it is a run of approximately 230. If you then split that in 2 it would be very uneconomical for anyone to be able to do it and keep the price down to a sensible level. Anybody got any they would enter?? This is where I would have a problem with a calender of photshopped entries only. The voting would then be based not on the car but the skills of anyone with the photoshop program.

I bet it was half of what sold this year. Lots of people had more than one and that list looked a lot longer this year than last so if the demand increases next year then it would certainly be feasible based on the costings of the first year No?? Also its that good a quality calender I'm sure it would sell in shops and not just for us supe geeks.
SimonB
Have to say I much prefer non-photoshopped pics (at least for anything other than cleaning the pics up a bit). I've yet to see one that doesn't look "wrong". Some of the German ones were OK, but still looked artificial.

So that would mean 500 of one kind and 500 of another. There is no way we are going to sell 1000. At the moment we are lucky to have a friendly printing place that does them almost at cost hence the price is kept as low as it is.

SupraStar 3000
problem is, what do you call photoshoped. All the pics had "some" photoshop on number plates etc. Both Dec 2006 and Feb 2005 had photoshop editing on mine but only removing other cars, colour and road marks etc.. Maybe the rule sould be backrounds and cars can be edited to enhance the pictures and colours but NOT completely removing a background for a pic from a professional image library.
