I actually thought it was a joke when I heard it... a new low in modern song writing as far as I can see... the depths of which even Athlete will probably never sink to, surprisingly.....

...this song makes 2Unlimited sound like Lennon and McCartney?!

what’s going on with this..?

S H I T E

The james blunt, coldplay, athlete whatever middle class blandness rolls on with yet another load of radio 1 friendly shite.......

I can feel another musical revolution al la punk or hip-hop coming on as so much mundaneness cannot go hand in hand with the youth for much longer surely..

why dont you be more specific and say 'hadyn why dont you stop comparing that shit to bands' rather than pussying out and saying 'you guys' like a lame ass radio 1 DJ :)

because even though it was mainly you....ranting on without thinking, it wasnt JUST you

and since i was tired i couldnt be arsed to quote or name people - besides, you knew who you were!

The song's OK, quite catch really, with maybe a few sad undertones.

At least it's got a tune to it, and is not just someone shouting and swearing all the time :)

The animation is brilliant, everytime you watch it you see something else in it.

The depth of field effects, as things move in and out of focus, are amazing.

Ranting on without thinking eh???????

A rant without thought would just class this song as SHITE without giving a rationale for the reason why I think it is so weak. A non thinking rant by its very definition also wouldnt comment on the state of british music today :blahblah:

Are you some kind of James Blunt/JCB Song fan??? Touched a nerve there have I my man? :read:

I just think all these empty MOR types like Blunt, Gray and Powter are really very hollow people who can sing and play guitar (apparently?) but have nothing much to say and don't really go anywhere...

If this were the 60's or people weren't afraid to voice an opinion and be marginalised (god forbid missing that all important GMTV spot!) this could develop into something more interesting - but yeah, we'd probably call it folk then...

The fact that they’re not 'the crazy frog' somehow lifts them to the heady heights of 'arr-teest'... Radio 1 and 2 play ensuing... and what’s known these days as 'critical acclaim' (you play your instrument? well done!) and a Mercury Music Prize nomination....

I just think the mainstream (i.e. the kind of thing my mother is exposed to) has sunk to such a low, following the late 80's murdering of popular music in the Stock, Akin and Waterman era, that people will just accept anything these days....

..and with the millions of channels for repeated exposure of this rubbish, I don't think people really have a choice anymore..? they just accept that 'its good' and they can't differentiate....

not to say this is true for all pop music, just most of it... :p
