Supra_Al
Hi, welcome to the board firstly! I have 18" alloys on mine. 9 J front with 245/40/18's 10 J rear with 265/35/18's I have no probs with them and the drive is an improvement on stock wheels. Have a word with 'Ibrar' on this site as he is an expert on various wheels/sizes/fitment. Al.
Daneway
Welcome to the board! There is a fabulous Excel s/sheet in which you can plug all sorts of wheel and tyres sizes to give you a feel for what does and doesn't fit on the Soop. Let me have your email address via PM and I'll send it to you. From my experience, get the offset right. Handling goes right out the window if this is wrong. Keep your offset 42mm and above (dependent on wheel width) and don't be tempted to go for the typical offset of 35mm to save a buck or two. Cheers, MARTIN
Thorin
Stock 17" wheel widths are 8.0" front, 9.5" rear. 235/45 tyres on front, 255/40 on rear. Without going too crazy I'd go with half an inch wider front and rear and run 245's up front and 275's on the rear personally. The spreadsheet that was mentioned is on my website here... http://www.blackstar.karoo.net/fitment.xls
