Auxillary belt tensioner?

Recommended Posts

The auto tensioner for my auxilary belt 'creaks'.Hard to explain as the engine revs from idle, there is a split second 'creak' as the engine loads the belt. With the engine off,if you push down on the belt you can make the tensioner creak.Has anyone else had this?

Will i eventually have to buy another,if so how much are they?:(

Can i remove it (if so how) and grease it up? Al.

Yes i have this on my sz as well and its been like that for about a year and more. I usually spray some silicon into the spring area. Its held on by three bolts and the timing covers need to come off. Just the top and middle i believe. Whatever you do dont drop the bolts down the bottom cover if you decide to change it.
