edd_t
Has anyone got a pic of a black supe with Lambo doors? prefreably without any other kit (veilside etc) on the car... oh, and with the doors in the upright open position... Mike
I like the way you think..... and a picture of a silver one also please..... are these generally frowned upon..? a bit chav? edd_t
i suppose a lot of ppl would think they are chav. but i love um, and think theres nothing wrong with um on a classy car like a Supe! now if they were on a Fiesta or Corsa that would be WRONG!!! dangerous rep
not a great fan of these, dont you ever get annoyed when you see corsa etc with supra light conversions and nearly every other car copying the supra spoilers seen so many cars with lambo doors now its going in the direction of lexus lights if you want to be a bit different get some kerniggsisnnsnnnenen doors (tilt foward rather than straight up) http://www.automobileyear.net/book52/images/eurocar2.jpg http://www.koenigsegg.com/graphics/design_doors4.jpg

I had no idea there were this many 'crazy door opening' options.... those are nice though... hmmmm.... The Lambo ones are just a more 'Cannon Ball Run' though... I know dude....was only pullin ya leg!! let us know how it goes if you decide to do it.....reckon that will look quite tasty and yes the doors geometry does pi$$ me off in car parks
mikeyb10supra
I want doors that slide back like train doors at the push of a button and sit flush to the read quater panel....or am I just being a prat now Would be cool though
edd_t
that would be well cool. a bit like the Pug 1007 though! haha
Ceptik
That would be cool. But you'd prolly have to have runners along the rear quarter panel which would make the rear side look uglier. I did see a Supra at Santa Pod this year with the doors all the way up. TBH, i didnt think there was much room to slide in and out of. Ceptik
Then you could go for the BMW Z1 type doors which slide down into the car. Hmm
edd_t
shame the Z1 looked like a boat!
Nic
Be very careful which kit you buy, don't go for the cheapest option, as you'll end up spending twice the difference in labour costs trying to get it to fit properly. Go for a kit specifically designed to for the Supra, make sure it is a straight bolt on kit, as there are a lot of them that need all sorts of cutting and welding to get them to fit and open/close properly. The quality of the struts and other components in the kit is also very important, the Supra door is big and heavy so needs good quality kit that is sufficiently strong enough to support it. For a decent kit I think you'll be looking at at least £1000 (probably more) for the parts, plus fitting.
