(1994 Supra N/A jspec with no engine mods)

just going to do a mini service i have some oil coming + filters etc etc... and i thought, while i was at it i would change the fuel pump and spark plugs... (supras have xmas too!)

im quite handy but i dont know much about the supra engine has anyone seen a guide on how to replace the fuel pump. as i cant find one anywhere :( (on the search)

also i was reading that the spark plugs were tricky to replace ... is this true ( in the past i have only had to take off the ht leads and un screw ) ... how many will i need and what type

any help would be great on this as i really dont want to f**k my engine with tinkering :) ... sorry to ask so much

spark plugs is easy just make sure when ur removing the coolant hose from the throttle body that you catch the coolant before it all flows into your sparks plug leads. so lay loads and loads of paper towel over them before you disconnect them.

Eh......didn't have to do that on mine and I've read of others getting away with it on the N/A as well.

I have changed my spark plugs loads of times and never seen a coolant hose in my throttle body, dont think i want one either.Water dont mix to well with air/fuel i've been told.:badidea: :badidea:

Thats cos the TT doesnt have the throttle body dangling over the engine. The reason why its more difficult to change plugs on the NA is because you cannot gain access to 3rd, 4th and 5th plugs unless u remove the throttle body. Some stupid reason toyota decided to run coolant through the throttle body. hence to remove the TB you have to disconnect the coolant hoses which run through them. Look at the pdf on how to change spark plugs on the mkiv.com link
