super_supra
Is fault 34 the code you would get if the boost went over 1.bar? This is why i ask. Just put my foot down properly for the first time realy since had the car and got to about 6000rpm just about to change gear and it cut back and the engine warning light came on. i ve read the fault code and it was 34 read the diagnostics page and it says turbo pressuer malfunction. i have noticed that the boost is around the 1bar mark giving it some but it might of creeped over as its a cold night. chris aka fonz
Fuel cut occurs when you hit over 1 bar , An FCD will prevent the ECU from seeing over 1 bar and stop fuel cut . Thor do a good one .

chilli
surely you will know if you are hitting fuel cut because it can only be described as "trying to put you through the windscreen" and the dash lights up like a christmas tree too. Mine kicked in around 1.05 - 1.1 bar, you need to be at this pressure for a second or too and then wham! The Thor FCD seemed to work a treat, think it's the best on the market for the £. Sounds like from what you describe it was fuel cut you experienced.
