wkdtime
when driving and the car is in motion i get a strange pulsating rubbing or knocking sound, even when the car is rolling in neutral you can hear it, pulsates faster as the car is moving faster, also when shifting through gears at half WOT as i back of the acclerator to change gears the car from the rear slightly steps out, well thats how it feels.....this has started to happen as the knocking sound has progressively gotten worse. any ideas??? piehound
sounds like a wheel bearing or a dodgy shock although it could be your brakes , easy to spot if you take the whel off and have a peep, i thought mine had front warped discs as at low speeds and low braking i could feel a pulse, it turned out to be the rears which i knew where getting low, so 2 new discs and pads later its as smooth as silk

Gazzawu
same happened to me about couple of months ago think wheel bearing was coming loose or something. wheel was making noise at each revolution. i thought the car was gonna fall apart as well. was really really lucky the guy who checked it out said that my wheel could have fallen out anytime. Ben-san
Eliminate one cause by doing a simple check: jack up the wheel concerned and see if there's any play. Pray that it doesn't move - because if it does, your bearing's furked. Hopefully it's just a case of worn brake and/or disc. Just had my NSR wheel checked yesterday - looks like I need the whole assembly replaced.
