Ibrar Jabbar Posted December 10, 2005 Share Posted December 10, 2005 I am having problems replying to some members emails, everytime I go to Send a protocol error message pops up. And hoppefully you will answer my mails to =), this explains why i have not recived any answers from y, it´s ok no hard feelings. DamanC Posted December 11, 2005 Share Posted December 11, 2005 This maybe relevent to you depending on your ISP (BT are good for this) but alot of them are just turning on smtp Authentication. I cannot for the life of me remember if MCafee has it built in so you have to put in your smtp details in your email client and mcafee. failing that you may just have to enter it in your email client if this is the case. geoffvalenti Posted December 11, 2005 Share Posted December 11, 2005 You need to turn off scanning of outgoing email in McAfee Antivirus. Double click the Red M in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This opens McAfee security centre. Select Virusscan from the list on the left click on Configure virusscan options click Advanced select Email Scan tab click the box next to Outbound messages, to remove the tick click OK twice reboot the computer send your emails Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
