Guest Terry S
Yeah modified stock rail with extra inlet. I have Blitz 850cc side feeds which fit the stock rail. After market fuel rails scare me a bit TBH. Although I have this week seen one that has caught my eye.............

Nathan
Originally posted by Adam W On pump fuel, where is the point where the ignition retard at high boost becomes so great that you don't actually make any more power as the boost goes up? Come come Adam, you should know as well as any other that that question is very much relative to inlet temps... As a guide though, if your EGT's start going crazy whilst you're not making much more power from increasing boost then you're just about at the limit. Adding retard adds EGT....it's a vicious circle.. Regards, Nathan TDI PLC
MONKEYmark
sounds like custom work. cant wait to see your car and to see it run. your my hero no pressure but got big money riding on you winning it outright going to get a new fuel pump out of winnings ps is it a power house racing fuel rail
Ian C
That would explain why I saw higher EGTs from higher boost and yet no more power was generated when I did my test -Ian

Yes. Well done I'm glad you understand. A lot of people don't. Have you ever considered a job in the tuning industry...? In fact, I'm worried that you may already be over-qualified... Chris Wilson
Originally posted by Thorin but then you could fit a thicker head gasket and run higher boost on optimax? LOL, only a small section of the tuning indistry likes and speaks the truth, much like governments. Spin is King!

That said, I honestly don't think there are as many tuning companies out there that deliberately try to dupe people as people think. I simply believe it's more a case of they just don't know what they are doing. Theres also a lot of places out there that claim to be bigger/better than they really are. Some of the claims I have seen are outrageous but then the punters WANT to believe what they are told.. Regards, Nathan TDI PLC
