terribleturner
It's all a set up. The only people being fooled are the public and that's going to be the whole point of the show when it finishes.
chilli
That big haired bloke is in another advert too, saw it yesterday, can't think what it was though, but def wasn't that blood one. I remember thinking at the time that he was the same person... It's really bugging me now, WHAT ADVERT WAS IT?????
how_supra
You could argue its a co-incidence but how many people have hair like that? When was it filmed? Was it last month?
MR.B
I recognised him from that blood advert as well. Hmm strange
chilli
hmmm but I don't think it is coincidence that he has the same face though lol the channel 4 message boards have some interesting conversations going on if you get board and fancy a look btw
how_supra
Lots of people are now talking about the joke being on us. On Radio one they were also talking about the big haired boy being from that Give Blood advert as well.
chilli
yeah maybe they should have picked some more obscure actors, shame if it is a prank on us, that spoils it a bit for me, prefered the original idea TBH
how_supra
The more I think it is a joke on us, and the more everyone else thinks the same, the more I think its not - if that makes sense! How can they be that dim though that they believe it?
chilli
lol I know what you mean, I hope you're right. Well it's true that it's hard to believe they can be quite so dim, but they carefully picked 'suggestable' (aka gullable halfwits!) for the program (if it is to be believed of course)... KaoriFan
i didnt see first ep, as i think Johnny Vaughan was at back of queue when brains were given out. its double whammy, Vaughan on c4, Zoe Ball in that dance prog on BBC1, cant escape them. i tend to agree it has to be something played onto the audience. I cant imagine them having the correct qual's at all, considering most astronauts have to have masters or phd level education. also they will either be military, or scientists chosen for a specific task. so no idea how they would make it in Real Life situation, must be a wind up. I feel sorry for them if they beleive its real. so what are the views on the Toys'R'Us Shuttle, my car has more chance of getting into orbit, lol - if anyone knows the humped bridge at Winchelsea, will know what i mean. it was so funny when you see them using old switches, instead of illuminated push buttons. haha, 'halfwits' about sums it all up. chilli
The hoax is that they are only "Space Tourists" and hence they only need basic training, they are not becoming fully fledged astronauts of course! Until recently (and maybe even now) Russian technology still used valves. At one point we in the west laughed at them until we realised that during an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) from a nuclear blast, their equipment would continue to run and ours would not... Not saying all their stuff is still old, but sometimes old and clunky is ok! What you want more than anything for this sort of thing is reliability and if that means old clunky stuff does the job, then thats what you get! The mock ups are especially bad though arn't they lol
RICHARDA
Just seen the Give Blood advert with the dopey fuzzy haired fuckwit in it. Not convinced. Time will tell.
