Should we have a new Engine management technical area of the BBS?

okay, I stand corrected. Bet the throughput on an ECU forum will be almost zero though, might be high at first but it will die off. Its like having a forum for boost controllers, lots have them, most people set them once and never change them, same with ECUs, you dont fiddle with the settings for fear of blowing the goolies out of the engine.

Im not saying it wont happen, its being discussed by the moderators as we speak but I just feel its very limiting having a forum specifically for 5% of the board to use.

I recall we have a section for BPU, APU, ECUs and suspension and all sort of stuff like that, it's here :)

I'm being devil's advocate here, obviously, but here is an interesting question or two - what if someone posts an ECU question in MkIV tech? What if it's a wiring question? What if it's a mixed one - boost controller and AFC wiring? What if someone says "which ECU should I get?" aiieeeee :) ECU choice is like football teams (but without the violence and destruction) as well so expect some serious personality clashing going on :D

I don't mind having a section and seeing what happens though :)

yes it is painful that Im bothering to discuss this when a massive 16 people said an ECU forum would be worthwhile.

As I said, its being discussed by the moderators (one of whom posted a valid point above) and a discussion will be made from there. Just be thankful its not up to me :looney: :woot: :nyah:
