Ceptik
Filled up a full tanks' worth of Tesco 99RON Super Unleaded today. What's better, its actually cheaper than Optimax round my way! 92.9p a litre. £50 for a full tank! Just have to see how it goes when the weather dries up. Anyone know if this stuff is a limited edition thing? Im hoping its still around in spring/summer.

supRo
I paid 88.9p a litre! Reset the ECU and see how you go. Mines went on the rollers with it and was running healthy. I reckon it's more responsive. They are rolling out 99 ron to more stores so maybe it has passed the 'trial' Ro
Ceptik
When resetting the ECU is there anything i should do before or after i carry it out?
supRo
You just need to remove one of the EFI fuses - there's 2, I can't remember which one, just remove both for more than 10 seconds. That's it really, nothing else you need to do.
Ceptik
Ok thanks. Then just drive normally? Do i need to 'break 'er in'? oor err missus!
Conrad
I have literally no decent fuel by me, the nearest BP shut down two weeks ago and the nearest Shell is 8 miles away. This meant I was using normal unleaded for a few days!:thumbdown Finally drove over to the Shell yesterday and put a full tank in. Got £52 in @ 90.9p a litre. Best reset my ECU by the sounds of it. BTW, I asked my local Tesco if they were gonna do the 99ron stuff and they said no because their petrol is supplied by ESSO. Anyone else heard this? JohnA
The supra ECU continously 'hunts' for more ignition advance. So there is no need to reset it for such minor changes such as higher-octane fuel.
Angarak
There is a Tesco Express garage at 'Windle Island' on the A580 East Lancs (between Manchester + Liverpool) that now does 99RON Super Unleaded @ 89.9p/litre. It used to be big green BP station, but became a tesco one in mid December.
