Sticking J-Spec Offside Caliper

Hi All

I've started getting a rather nasty "sticky" front offside caliper. It is rapidly going to fry the disc and pads and I was wondering if anyone had a good working set of front J-Spec calipers? I KNOW I need to go Uk Spec but I just can't afford it at the moment but need something sorting with this caliper as the car pulls VIOLENTLY to one side when I brake hard and its getting dangerous.

Hope someone has some good working ones.

Thanks in advance...

Wouldn't the caliper recondition kit be your best bet?

I'm really not sure mate. I suppose it might be but I wasn't sure if I could just get the recondition kit over here in the UK - with it being a J-Spec caliper and all. CW thinks he might have some calipers so I'm going to see if he has or not. If not, I'll look into the recondition kit and where its available from!

Cheers Carl0s

Brake refurb is actually quite easy to do - if your caliper hasn't actually sustained any damage to the body. The fronts have aluminium piston housings so even if a seal has gone the likleyhood of corrosion is small. However, the bores for the sliding pics go straight into the cast iron carrier. The pins are chrome plated steel and should be ok, but if the bores have gone then new calipers would be your best bet.

If you decide to go for the refurb, PM me and I'll send you the part numbers. Its not an expensive job, just time consuming.
