dandan
Hi all, Another question for you. I know the ecu on the mkiv is "fairly" sophisticated and retards ign timing (via knock sensor) to prevent detonation. If a car is running well on normal unleaded and the fuel used is changed to optimax will the ecu "realise" there's better fuel and not retard the ign as much or does it need to be rest to learn its limits again? hopefully less retarding and a few more ponies! Thanks in advance guys, hope someone can advise me accordingly..
Thorin
I think eventually it will adjust itself yeah, but it will do it a lot faster if you reset the ECU.
