2JZ-GTE Eingine Question

Now i have had a look on the search but for a reson unknown to me it's not loading....

 

So i have heard alot about our engines being "non contact" or "free wheelers" with regards to valves and the tops of the pistons.

 

Now is this the case with the 2JZ-GTE engine, if the cambelt broke will it cause extensive engine damage such as cracked pistons, bent conrods, smashed valves etc.

No the GTE is a non interfearence engine, but CHANGE YOUR BELT!!!!
