Yes it is a manual. All the cars i have been lookin at have been only car i have had that is auto was a corvette and i couldnt get away with it.

That is a lot to ask. I bought mine just over a year ago with 84k on the clock and I got it for 10K with mods.

 

I would not pay more than 8k for it even in that condition. Like the others have said you could buy one of theirs and respray it.

I bought mine off a club member and probably paid a little more than I should but I wanted it.

If you want that particular colour why not try Jurgen on here. He can probably help import you one in and you will have cash left over from your 12K budget.

 

Too much if you ask me fella. Better off getting a Supra from else where IMHO.

Vineplace are vastly overpriced though!!

 

I've been wanting to get a supra since April/May this year but due to other circumstances just can't afford it yet. Anyway.....as a result I've been keeping a consistently close eye on the marketplace and whilst others (see this board for examples) have had to sell for rock bottom prices, Vineplace prices have remained ridiculously high. Don't know what their aftersales and warranty is like...... how much is yer mate getting you knocked off the £12k like???

Dont know if im getting anything knocked off but im hoping i will im putting in my 2004 civic type r for it so depends on what they give for it or there is another company which is willing to give me a supra and another car something small for my las for the civic but i have heard a couple of bad things about the company having rough cars ect.

You also need a 6 & 12 month service through them or your not covered under the warrenty

I see where you're coming from for peace of mind (and locallity) but with the huge amount of resources and expertise available through here, you're backs always gonna be covered one way or another....

Its mainly for peace of mind so that if say a turbo goes its covered by the warranty and i dont have to fork out for it which i dont fancy doing. But there is the company that has offered me the supra plus a small car which will do for my las until shes passes her test.

Captainchaos, I'd def look elsewhere as that's way too much for a car of that age - even if it is a 6 speed.

There's a few on there a couple k cheaper, all 6 speeds. You'll still pay a premium from whiffbitz but at least you're guaranteed a top motor. He only get's good en's.

 

Alternatively to that just look on the trader, ebay and the classifieds on here. You'll get something a hell of a lot cheaper privately. If you needed to p/x your type R why not try and sell it privately first. You'll save a lot of money in the long run.

 

I've just bought a '94 Jspec auto in silver with a few nice cosmetic bits for £6750. You may not want an auto but it gives you an idea of what you can get for your dosh.

Hi,

 

I bought a Supra from Vine Place a few months ago, I can't fault them for service, my car had a few little niggles e.g. broken aerial etc and some other stuff and they sorted it out. (Maybe they should of been sorted before I bought the car though).

 

But I do now think I paid a bit over the odds for it, I wish I had been a bit more patient in finding the perfect Sup!

 

Some of the prices are silly cheap now so at 12k you should be looking at a class one!
