Interesting issue with the term 'Paki' I must admit, I myself have never really understood why that was considered a rascist term, When I have been to the States and people say to me 'So you are a Brit!' that dosn't offend me, Im proud to be called a 'Brit' I have to admit...there is a lot of hypocracy with rascism these days, but i dont blame any particular race for this other than the stupid councils or bodies that make the rules! I mean I remember applying for a course once set up by Lenny Henry and told 'sorry but we can only offer places to black people!' I believe in 'Equal' Opportunities...and I am certainly AGAINST any kind of racism! However...some of these ruling bodies..make for a very socially unbalanced Britain, therefor creating even more racial intolerance on the streets! The scales were level once and the letters 'PC' were respected..now though the scales have tipped and we have lost the balance... The Supra club I have found to be great in this respect... It breaks a few barriers down between all of us and our own views, threads like this are actually very healthy for us all! because half of us wouldn't talk to each other or enter each others neighbourhood if we did,nt have the same car! I love the diversity on this BBS, I have learned so much from others who I have made friends with from other cultures on here...would be boring if we were all the same! Sorry - but the original letter wasn't about racism. (Albeit in a badly worded way) You just took it that way. As I said earlier, only you chose to view it as an attempt to incite racial hatred and lets be honest, you only said that after a significant number of posts. Your problem is that you have an unhealthy fixation with "hating" me. You said so yourself in a post within the othr thread. That being the case, you really need to seek professional help. To "hate" someone to the degree that you continually attempt to badger, ridicule or annoy someone the way you do me (especialy given the length of time I initially upset you) displays a psychotic trait that needs investigating. Going back to the thread, you conveniently (again) ignored the following facts: 1. My GF is Chinese 2. My best mate is Black 3. My best man at my first wedding was Indian. The sort of comment you've made here against CJ is b*llocks, it was aimed at creating a discussion and my comment led it it get a bit heavy. Statements such as this are made so lightly by a few, all it does is makes the point that some people will use PC as a last resort to get at another.
