michael
Each to their own, I thought it was clever stuff. 'Crazy Little Pimp Called Love' is catchy enough.

Tannhauser
Interesting, normally if I hear something that's sort of quirky, I like it. But this I really hate. Some bloke swearing in a dreary monotone over the top of Queen tunes. Still, I don't 'get' 90% of mobo (I'm so old, I don't even know how else to classify what I'm hearing!): most sounds boring, sterile, vacuous to me. Here's something on the 'Crazy Little Pimp' song I really hated: they've taken what sounds like a sample of the original guitar solo, but then loop it over and over. That sort of thing drives me nuts. The thing that makes a guitar solo interesting is the phrasing in it (i.e. the 'breaths' between the notes), the transitions between different ideas and the way it relates to the chords underneath. If you lose that by just repeating the same bit, then musically, it makes no sense to me. It's like taking Hamlet's soliloquoy and just looping 'To be or not to be' over and over - in isolation, it's meaningless. As you say, each to his own.
