chilli
are you really that old??????? both of you lol cheeky git. No, good music is timeless and it's not like I bought it the day it came out, it was already a classic - something girls aloud will never be
michael
I bought a few at the same time: The Almighty - Blood, Fire & Love Anthrax - Persistence of Time Iron Maiden - 7th Son Of A 7th Son I'm guessing I got my first CD player (a panasonic 'ghetto blaster' type thing) in 1990. Pete
New Order - Technique or Substance. Not sure which I got first. Closely followed by the Beloved.
RedM
First record I ever asked for was the first 7" single from Minor Threat. My uncle got me a copy from the US. I was 12 years old. First record I purchased with my own money was the first by The Clash. It was a gift for the same uncle but he already had it and said I should keep it as it will change my life. I still have the tape. It's bloody knackered but the genuine deal. Even has a warning about being used on Dolby equipped stereos! I kept it a secret for years because I thought my parents would confiscate it.
garethr
That's got me thinking! Can't remember, but I know I've bought another 600 or so since. I CAN remember the first vinyl single and album though :-)
