Sorry for the Hijack Dibbs :scare: Alex how hard is it to fit a single kit by yourself...this is something I am considering when I move flats and have a bit more space in my car port??

obviously I will need to get the thing mapped etc which I cant do....but in terms of fitting the turbo, injectors, fuel anciliries etc, is this hard for a fairly confident individual??

what do i do with the stock o2 plug when fitting single as my downpipe only has bungs that fit wideband etc

aslo loads of plugs that fitted the front of the stock turbos 3 in all

any help would be great cheers

i had some 10mm stainless flanges laser cut and welded to the dpipe to take the stock o2 sensor. tie the plugs out the way if you're obd1, there will be no fault codes

I got a tall friend to help with long arms :)

So I managed to skip all the nasty parts of the build... :D It's much easier that way ;)

It also helped immeasureably that the same person had had a sequential system off and on a few times and fitted a Single kit to his own car....and then written an FAQ...

Ian C - wrench monkey and mapper extraordinaire!

But it is fairly straight forward once you get going - just needs strength and bloody mindedness.

Wayne, if your ODBI, like me, then just tape the spare connectors up and tie them away in a safe place.

Heater Hose Mod is here, this is for LHD but I'm sure you will get the gist of it. TBH i managed to use my existing hoses buy cutting them to the correct length (a quick fix until you can get some new hose)

ABSXXX

IAC hose can do one of two things.

If you have the nipple on your air intake pipe then you can route the hose to this.

If not, then get a K&N filter on the IAC instead (this is how mine is)

has anyone got pics of this mod for a J spec appears to be diffrent:help:

the jap spec is no different, its just that on supraforums they are left hand drive so the heater hoses go through the firewall at a different point. just connect it up the best you can with the hoses you have. just make sure its not too close to the downpipe. iirc there is a metal pipe with a dogleg in it? turn this upside down and use what rubber hoses are left

JohnK also did a full write up on his self install on a UK spec.

It can be done but you need to know what you are doing with a spanner. I wouldnt even contemplate it, but then I wont even fit my import spec rear clusters cos I could toss it up.

JB

Its on my website, If you are competent with the spanners, logical and have the time it isnt that bad a job.

I have quite a few pics from the job (more than on my site) so if anyone needs a pic of something in particular drop me a PM.
