Phil Wall
Got my new filter PN 90915-20004, as recommended on MKIV.com. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/parts/toyota_filter/index.html The articles show the stock filter to be PN 08922-0211. When I removed my filter, supplied by my local dealer the PN 90915-20003 is printed on the exterior. I have fitted 5 of theses filters in the past 18 months. It is exactly the same construction as the 20004 jus shorter. As I have been running these filters successfully for some time I have no concerns about fitting the 20004 as it should give even better flow rates. Can any one see the part number on the filter in their engine, tells us what you are using.
Guest Martin F
I have also been using 90915-20003 as supplied by my local dealer. On the box it says substitute for 90915-03002 and 90915-20001 I think different countries do sometimes have different part numbers for items, why i don't know. Phil Wall
The standard USA filter in that article is paper filter. The V8 uses a superior material, the same as the 20003. So by using the V8 you just get larger fliter area and better flow, no other difference IMHO
