terribleturner
Who do people use?? I'd like to get into this, but i don't want to be restricted to how many i borrow a month. With my shifts i could easily go through 6+ a month. Got an email from these guys, but was wondering if people thought they were expensive or not? Nick1980
I do hope you're not planning on watching Dvd's while you should be working?!
how_supra
nah he wouldn't do that. In fact he's gonna edit the London Video first aren't you sweetie...........
chilli
We've used a couple of them. They don't restrict how many you could have per month as such, just how many at a time, so if you can watch 3 in a day and return them all you might get quite a few a month, depending on postage times and how quick they service you etc. We've just cancelled our subscription with lovefilm because TBH the service was poor. We were paying for 3 at a time and like you probably will, watching and returning them quickly. After a short while we started to only receive a max of two at a time after waiting quite a while for them. We emailed them and apparently the more you watch the lower down the priority you go, and new customers get prioritised over you too - doh! Also we never received a film from the top of our wish list! So anyway we cancelled that as it started to work out pricey when you are struggling to get like 1 or 2 a week. Having said that my brother uses them and thinks they are ok. The best one we have tried so far was actually blockbuster IIRC. I think there was another that was good, can't think of it now, will let you know if it springs to mind...
GeordieSteve
My mate uses Blockbuster. £14 a month and you can have as many DVD's as you want each month (3 at a time)
lust2luv
We used to use Sainsburys (LoveFilm by another name), started okay but as Chilli says went completely shit, took ages to send movies and they were always from the bottom of our list. Cancelled and went with ScreenSelect - sweet heaven in comparison - have had 20 movies so far and all 20 were from our most wanted list (which only ever contains around 5 movies), none of them took more than 24 hours to turn around either (unless it was the weekend). Absolutely fantastic service so far. To summise ScreenSelect are fantastic, LoveFilm are shite.
chilli
ScreenSelect, yes that was the one I was trying to thing of. When I start up a service again it will be with then I think too
Keith C
Screenselect here - we ended up with them through VideoIsland (who they bought out), and the service has always been excellent. No complaints at all.
Faye
Another vote for Screen Select here. Very quick turnaround on DVDs

Rayman
Used Lovefilm myself, was always very good service and easy to cancel at any time.
terribleturner
I do hope you're not planning on watching Dvd's while you should be working?! Hell yeah I have The Jacket, Dark Water and The Skeleton Key sat next to me for tonights viewing at work. May give screenselect a go. Dash Rendar
I'm using LoveFilm. The speed of service varies, but I get through 3 to 4 movies a week and that's good enough for me! (In fact, I'm such a cheap-skate that I actually split the £15 monthly fee with a mate. Since we tend to like the same movies, it works out quite well! Hope I don't get thrown in jail for this confession.)
chilli
The new Dark Water or the original korean one? The original is quite good, but rather strange as those Korean horror films usually are... new one was good too. I've "heard" that some individuals actually copy the films before sending them back, the cheek of it!
