Class One
Thinking on from 50's thread about the arrival of Christmas has got me thinking. When do you put your decorations up? I ask this as on 16th November I saw a house all decked out and lit up. I put mine up about a week before Christmas.
Lazarus
Ours go up on Christmas eve and are down again by the end of the 12th day. Seriously.
Marco
I only put christmas decorations up at work. Cant be bothered to do it at home. It usually involves a fibre optic tree on my desk 2 or 3 weeks before christmas...

Lez
I normally put them up for the family around the 1st of December, but as I'm in Hamburg til the 16th they will have to wait. We always put them away on the 2nd of Jan, because we are just completly partied out and want a rest.

SuperSupra
What are these decorations you speak of? I thought Xmas was about drinking too much alcohol, eating too many mince pies and generally being a bit of a git, except on the actual day when we exchange gifts to celebrate the birth of our Lord....... MrRalphMan
Ah, that's funny. We've just spent 6 hours putting them up. The Mrs is still dressing the tree.

But it's not even December yet!!!!!! It should be a law that:- - no-one can put ANY decorations up, - sing or play any Xmas songs, - have any adverts on TV even remotley related to Xmas -or even mention the idea of anything to do with it (including shopping!) Oh yeah, and how about we wait til JANUARY for the JANUARY sales!!!!

Faye
December the 1st, dash back from work, grab the deccies out the loft and in about 2 hours I can have the place looking like Santa's grotto. I love Christmas, what I can't stand is people asking me what I want. I go to great pains to think about cool things they'd like as a surprise, and then they want me to do the thinking for them when it comes to my present. Surprises are the best
